No More Run Slacking, Back in the Groove

I ate so much bad food over the weekend and I had major stomach distress. Why do I do that to celebrate? When the party is over it is no fun. It's like I get a food hangover. Gotta stop that.
Today I knew I had to get up early and run. The afternoon and evening it has been just so warm to run. I am sure I will get my share of running in the heat in a couple of weeks for Ragnar. The Ragnar team meeting will be Thursday this week and I will find out my approximate running times.
This morning I left about 5:20am and the temperature was 53 degrees. Ate half a bonk bar, had a little water and I was off. I wasn't quite sure which way I was going to go, I just started running. First I took the Jordan River Parkway trail that goes behind the houses heading north. At the end of the trail I went up onto Whatta View Place and then to Reeves Lane - Riverwalk Drive - Meadow Ridge Circle and then to Lampton View Drive. I Went over to Lifetime Fitness up to 10600 South and home the Jordan River Parkway.
Fuel on board, 2 bottles of water GU (sample Cherry-Lime yeah not very good) and some bites. Gnats galore on the parkway (one reason I spent time in the housing tracks). Saw the pelican twice, once on the way out and then it had moved and I saw it on the way back. Quite a few runners as it got later and bikers too. And as I was running I didn't even wish I was biking. LOL. Great way to start the week. Here are my stats:

This really is a great way to start the week. I guess you really are a runner if you did not wish to be on your bike when you saw the bikers.
